I arrived at the store early the other day to find that two praying mantises were gracing the front of my store. This one was on the window and another was on the masonry below.
This guys are big! They are also vicious if you're an insect or the mantis's mate. But they do eat a lot of insects which is generally good and they are interesting to look at.
You never know what you're going to see if you keep your eyes open! Twenty minutes after I arrived the mantises left.

I liked looking at the mantis. They're supposed to be good luck. They do eat many bugs.
I'm glad I'm not married to one, though.

At least your excellent photo showed the mantis was there! Very cool.
We had a grasshopper in the house for a couple of days last week. I think it got away or Charile got it!
He loves moths. Unlike a cat who would hop up to get a moth on the wall, Charlie barks at it, as if telling to come down so he can eat it, or to get our attention to have us get it for him!
